TEACHER TRAINING

We are so excited for you to join our Teacher Training program whether you’re goal is to teach yoga or deepen your own personal practice.

teacher training FAQ’s

  • Absolutely!

There are always trainees who join our programs with no intention to teach, but instead join to deepen their understanding and knowledge of yoga as a practice and lifestyle.

This training will offer you the space to dive deeply into your physical practice, refine and further understand healthy and safe alignment within your poses, guide you through challenging and important questions about your relationships with yourself and others, and expand your knowledge of how to live your yoga off of the mat.

We often joke that a 200 Hour Teacher Training should be a requirement for all adults, as it’s such a sacred time to reconnect to, learn about and strengthen who you are and who you want to be in this world. These are essential aspects to being not only an impactful and power yoga teacher, but also a leader in your life.

  • We recommend everyone who signs up for the Power Yoga 200 Hour Training have at least 6 months to 1 year of a consistent Vinyasa or Power Vinyasa practice.

Trainees should have experience with a weekly (or multiple times per week) physical practice and basic knowledge of concepts and poses.

  • Communicate with your instructor the you'll be out.

Please note to receive a certificate of completion, you must attend 100% of required classes and workshops to comply with Yoga Alliance requirements and you must submit your final feedback survey.

The following procedures may be applied in the event you need to miss a day(s) unexpectedly:

Missed public class: Trainee must retake public class

Missed ½ day of training: Trainee must schedule 1-hour private with mentor ($150/hour )

Miss full day of training: Trainee must schedule 2-hour private with mentor ($150/hour)

  • Tuition covers the cost of training and any public class that is part of training.

  • Trainees are encouraged to complete the pre-training reading, as a foundation for our first weekend together.

There will also be a list of required books to purchase by the start of training to supplement and prepare trainees for more in-depth conversations from weekend to weekend. This reading will be listed on your welcome letter, once you register for the program.

As for homework between sessions, this may look like reading that aligns with that weekend’s subject, self-inquiry or journaling prompts, and sequence or playlist creation. Group work will also be encouraged, as this helps you stay accountable with your work, and also grow your connections with your fellow trainees. We know everyone’s plate is very full and life is quite busy, so the facilitators aim will be to keep all homework and additional assignments to no more than an hour or so per week.
